Reasons Why Winter Is Absolutely The Best Season Ever....
1. No More Sweat
The sickly heat, crazy humidity and the buckets of sweat are a thing of the past - till next summer anyway. For now, there's no more sweat, no more embarrassing sweat stains - and the best of them all, no more sweat stink (which is a godsent for those who commute by public transport
2. Cozy Weekend Mornings
While it IS hard to wake up on winter mornings during the week, it is adequately compensated by the lazy Sunday mornings when you wake up late, with the fluffy blankets still warm and the cold winter sun shining out behind the window curtains. Sleeping in on summers does not have the same blessed feeling as during winters..
3.Tea Under The Winter Sun
There are very few simple pleasures in life like a hot cup of tea (or coffee) enjoyed under the benevolent winter sun. Whether you are a broke college student, or a busy corporate employee - whether it is a cutting chai from the chai-wala by the street, or a cappuccino at CCD - the few minutes of sipping this steaming beverage while warmed out in the sun is pure joy.
4. Bonfires
Those who do not know the delight of a winter bonfire don't know what they are missing out on. Huddled together with friends or family, passing out munchies, sharing old stories or playing silly games - as the yellow-and-red flames rise into the cold night air is something that is getting lost in the snowballing urbanity and the scarcity of time.
5. Old Monk
Actually, the correct thing to say would be - dark rum, but who are we kidding? If it's rum, it's got to be Old Monk! There is literally no better alcohol during winters than this dark, delicious drink. The fact that it gives absolutely no hangovers and is so easy on the pocket only makes us love the Monk even more.
6. Winter Fashion More Fun

Firstly, it is so much easier to be fashionable during the winters - mix and match, layer it up or improvise! Winters make colors more fun than summers - the brighter they are, the warmer they look. Secondly, too-skinny people can look better-shaped - and overweight people can hide their bulges so much better with winter clothing.
7. Fresh Air, Fresh Air Everywhere!

It is not like there is no pollution during winter - but the first wave of the chilly air that greets you when you step out of your home in the morning is as invigorating as it is biting. And the cool aura of a crisp winter evening makes you want to skip that daily ride and walk a short way home instead.
8. Vacation Time

Another great thing in favor of winter is the amazing vacation possibilities during this time. You can either pack off to Himachal for the snow and scenery or to Goa for a gala beach holiday - and between either end of this spectrum, there lies so many more other possibilities!
9. Street Food Gets Tastier

Momos? Samosas? Kathi Rolls? Kababs? These and so much more become 100 times more appetizing during winter. The piping hot pakodas at the street vendor's stall are like little crisp heat-emitting balls that warm you from the inside, the waft of their tantalizing aroma calling you from across the road.

Even for the health-conscious who still prefer 'ghar ka khana' over junk food love winter because the sabzi-wala has all kinds of vegetables for your kitchen. From radishes to spinach to yams - the domestic menu becomes so much more interesting and creative during the cold season.
11. Under Blanket Activities

For those with a dirty mind - yeah, besides that there are other things too. Being able to cuddle up with your favorite book and your softest blanket is what makes winter the favorite season for most bookworms. Also, watching movies wrapped up in a blanket is just the best feeling - especially horror movies. You can cover yourself up during the scary bits - and once the movie is over, you can go to sleep under the protection of the blanket to... you know, keep the monsters out and stuff. Whatever.
12. No More Mosquitoes

Although the air pollution during Diwali takes care of all the mosquitoes in the metropolitan cities in India, it is winter that eliminates the rest of them - along with the other annoying bugs and flies. Pesky little things!
13. Daily Showers: Not Mandatory

We do not mean not taking a bath for a week - but if it's the weekend, and you have no plans but to sit at home and chill, and you're warm in your pajamas and socks - it's kind of okay to not take a shower, you know? Or, during the morning rush to office/college, it is something that you can afford to put a little lower on your priority list. Know what I am saying?
